Serra Maternity Session

I love taking pictures but i love taking pictures for friends even more. Larry happens to be on of my very best friends from high school. Thanks to the wonderful world of facebook we had recently reconnected when his sweet wife Meagan reached out to me about doing newborn photos when Noah arrived. We decided to get together ahead of time and do a maternity session. 

We met in Occoquan on a Sunday evening, between the threat of rain and Larry being distracted by the water ( if you know him you know how much the guy LOVES to fish)  i wasn't sure if we would make it thru the shoot, add in poor Meagan having pretty consistent contractions towards the end and it made for a pretty comical evening.  The rain held off until we were done and i captured some really great images of this sweet couple. 

We managed to get this shoot in just in time since baby Noah decided to arrive a little early .... Check back soon for his newborn session :)

Playing catch up ....

It has been awhile since i blogged. My hubby shattered his ankle in a golf cart accident on Fathers day and has been making a slow recovery after some reconstructive surgery. I also went back to work full time the same week this happened, so needless to say it has been a bit crazy around the Keller household. I am playing catch up on lots of things photography related today :) Stay tuned for some long over due blog posts :) Below are the after injury and after surgery x-rays .... Yikes !!

Rock the Shot photo contest

The theme for Rock the Shot's( www.rocktheshotforum.com ) photo contest this month is Summer fun !!  This is one of my all time favorite photos of my nephew. We were in Charleston for the week and headed over to Isle of Palms and took a tour out to one of the barrier islands, he ran and ran and ran that day. We collected shells, saw some star fish, picked up some cannon ball jelly fish and just enjoyed our time together. I love how it looks like he is floating in this picture as he is running on to the next thing.He totally crashed when we got back on the boat.

And Baby Makes 4.......

This was a special session for me because it is my brother’s family. I took these back in September, 3 months before baby girl made her arrival. We had a lot of fun and I am so glad I got to capture this memory for them. These were taken at Frank Liske park in Concord NC while I was home for a visit. I hope you enjoy!!

He Sure loves his momma!!

He was so excited about becoming a big brother and loves his little sister so very much !!!

She followed directions and waited well beyond this to make her grand entrance :)

Sadies Arrival!!

Sadie’s Arrival!

My best friend has had 2 babies in the last year (yes you read that correctly) April 2012 & April 2013. I had the privilege of being there both times. Last time I got there right before baby girl # 2 was born. However this time I played a more significant role I got to be the “baby daddy”, I got the other hospital bracelet and everything since the real baby daddy (AKA bff’s hubby) is deployed somewhere overseas.

                  

 

Baby girl # 3 wasn’t quite as big as originally .( #2 was over 9lbs) and was delivered by the nurses because she came so quickly, I love the first picture below of her meeting her momma for the first time while daddy is looking on via Skype in the Background.

 I was honored to be a part of this special day; I love their momma like a sister!! I can’t wait to watch these precious girls grow up and hopefully one day

When I have children of my own they will all be the best of friends!!
